Dug Frederick, Turned Wood
Hello and Thanks for visiting. As you wander through my site I hope you enjoy looking at my turnings and piercings. For my turnings I use wood that has been brought down by nature or due to tree illness.

The storms that come through our area have given me some gorgeous material. I feel priviledged to give these beautiful trees a second life.

For my piercings I use 1/16" birch panels with a micro-drill. They have kind of a lacey look to them. They are custom framed in shadow box with a black background to show the detail of the piece.

I hope you enjoy the tour. Please email or call me with any questions or availability of certain pieces. Sincerely, Dug Frederick

The photo on my home page was taken by Scott Smith for Jacksonville Home and Hospitality Magazine.
The turned piece featured is from the collection of Micheal and Janet Blackstone and is turned from Norfolk Island Pine that was downed in Miami from Hurricane Wilma.
